Joe Muldowney is a professor at Temple University's Horticulture Department. The 67 year old has resided in Philadelphia his whole life. He worked for the city for many years, and now lives in Fairmount.
What he likes most about Philly: "It's a city of neighborhoods. Find the right one...you know everybody, and you all look out for each other. And it's a historical city."
What he likes least about Philly: "Parking authority. The wage tax is too high. It drives people out of the city."

Dana Whitengier has lived in Philadelphia for 10 years.
What she likes most about Philly: "A sense of freedom...and art. I've been to the west coast. It's really restrictive. Here there's not so many regulations. It's easier to get by."
What she likes least about Philly: "The bad, selfish attitude. And the trash. When people don't take care of property."

What he likes most about Philly: "I love the change of seasons. Transportation...I like how you can just hop on the bus and get pretty much anywhere. Everything's at your fingertips."
What he likes least about Philly: "The people can be a bit rude. Not like the south. People are friendly in the south."

What he likes most about Philly: "There's a lot work in the home improvement industry...construction. Living is cheaper than any other states I've been. It's culturally open-minded and diverse.
What he likes least about Philly: "Trash. The city doesn't take care of itself. Such a beautiful city, they should do a better job keeping it clean. The violence. I haven't seen any of it myself, but I hear about it. It's not good for the kids."

Harold Sheppard, 60, is originally from Philadelphia. He lives in the northwest section of Germantown. Before that he lived in North Philadelphia. He works for the Philadelphia Department of Health.
What he likes most about Philly: "The arts...jazz, museums. Entertainment, restaurants, clubs, the cultural richness. The architecture of the buildings and houses in different neighborhoods."
What he likes least about Philly: "The public school system. Lack of recreation and afterschool activities in Black and poor neighborhoods. Income tax and sales tax. It's difficult to make changes politically with the city council process. Police brutality, especially in African-American communities. Inconsiderate driving. Extortionist Parking authority."

What she likes least about Philly: "The snow. And how congested it is, like the traffic."

Jim Lang, 67, is from Southwest Philadelphia. He has been here his entire life, and was a stonesetter for 44 years.
What he likes most about Philly: "It's a culturally diverse city. I like the Avenue of the Arts and I think they're doing some really wonderful things.
What he likes least about Philly: "The parking authority, they're crazy. We used to have 4-hour parking over here, now they changed it to 3-hour parking."
